Copenhagen 17/11 2018. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. An Owl amid leaves, hops and berries on the label. The tag-line is almost biblical: Strange and exotic, taste abundance of the Garden of Eden.
Pours murky dark brown with medium seized off-white head. Settles as 0,5 cm layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweet, herbal and intense. Herbal bonanza overpowers everything else. Licorice, juniper, cinnamon and anise.
Light carbonation. Thin, watery, kind of flat texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by and balanced by slightly lighter bitterness. Ginger-like cool feel to the aftertaste.
Way too herbal for my taste buds. But people who's into beer you can buy in a German Alternative Health Shop might have a Ball with this.
