Repurposed industrial building down along the river just northwest of Asheville. Small taproom with L-shaped bar to the left of the entrance that seats about 10, brewhouse is to the left, with a couple of foeders visible from the bar. Large cover porch on the left side of the building with food truck and additional seating on the grass in the back. A dozen beers of tap, eclectic offerings and open fermentation. A gem in the rough.

Visited here for lunch and a couple of pints 1-6-23.

Got here after they just opened at noon on a Friday and it was pretty dead inside. By the time we left there was maybe a dozen paying customers. Having said that the vibe on the outside was very cool with the French Broad River forming the rear of their property. There was ample space for maybe 50 people for the picnic tables available outside. Inside there was a small bar area were drink orders are taken. The food partner is Taqueria Muñoz which has a limited menu of Burritos, Tacos, Tamales, and a few other things. Food was made from scratch and ready in 15 minutes.

Quality of the beer was excellent. Would recommend the Kellerpils, their flagship beer - it was so fresh and alive! Had a mixed fermentation brew called Dragon Whistle which was a hoppy Saison on Brett, so good! Da Boss enjoyed a pour and a half of Kellerpils and found it very good.

Service at the bar was very good. The knowledge of the beers was excellent, and he was a very nice guy to boot and not a snoot! The Taqueria Muñoz folks were nice but not talkative.

Selection was pretty good as there were a dozen or so brews plus some wine too. Lagers, IPA. Malty ale, and mixed fermentation were the styles offered.

Overall, go there for some killer lagers and mixed fermentation ales, worth going out of the way!

Large old warehouse of some kind for the taproom that has transformed it to a hospitable space with a great porch, riverside views, and built in food truck. Beer leans into the classic styles, like they have a roggenbier on tap, unheard of! Some of the more obscure old world styles is their best work. Service is slow but friendly, so don't be a rush. Very asheville area feeling to this one, worth the stop every visit

Was really excited to go to this brewery. I don't know if the expectations exceeded its reality. Did not live up to the expectations. The property is amazing, sitting next to the French Broad River drinking a cold one, life doesn't get better then that. However, in my opinion, the beers were average at best. Service was counter service which is just unacceptable in my opinion at a brewery. There should be a server knowledgeable on the beers they have on tap. and yet they expected a tip. Not sure if this is a COVID thing or not but they did not except cash, credit only. But did except cash tips?

Great space. The area of town looks sketchy, like my wife didn't want to pull in. Nice place and nice people. Lagers were very, very good. Tacos at the on site food truck were very, very good. Plenty of tables and space to spread out along the river. Lots of folks had dogs.

Update, a couple visits later. New food truck with killer BBQ. Enjoyed an oktoberfest, AAL and English barley wine all in one sitting. Very good beer and cool place.

Beautiful location, four acres on the French Broad River, lovely river views. Large parking lot. Good tunes on the speaker, fast friendly bartender. The beer I tried was ok. Go for the beautiful outdoor space; and there is a Mexican food wagon, I’ve heard was good, but I didn’t stay long enough to eat.

This was our last stop before heading away from Asheville, part of my 60th birthday mini beercation.

This brewery is an excellent setting to drink beer. There is a large open area outside with picnic tables that offer a beautiful view of the French Broad River as it slowly passes by. Good for dogs and people.

I only had one beer here. It was a very good saison and I wished I could have sampled more but we needed to get on the road. Good selection and decent service. Recommended.

Incredible atmosphere. It’s down by the river front, in an area of Asheville that’s finally starting to grow. It’s still really quiet out there. Everyone is very chill (that’s what you get in Asheville). They have an authentic Mexican Food truck that goes great with their beer. The beer menu constantly changes. They have ciders and sours also. You can leave with a growler. I recommend the Bohemian Dark Lager, while it lasts.

So this past weekend is the third time I have been here and each time I have been impressed. They have about 8 beers on draft bottles and cans to go. Great German beers, saisons and very solid IPAs no gimmicky beers that I saw. Beers were all very solid beautiful area, when we pulled in the wife was a little worried looked like an old run down industrial park. The inside of the brewery is very nice, great covered outdoor area, the time before last the fire pit was going as well. We usually sit down by the river it is so spacious even when crowed you do not notice. This has become one of my must stops when i visit Asheville.

This place is awesome! rarely have I ever gone to a brewery I didn’t know anything about before showing up and been this impressed. Its such a cool place, a little off the beaten path, over some railroad tracks and in an old industrial looking area. I walk in to a sprawling open feel warehouse space with a small bar right there on the left where I walk in, and some scattered seating, but most of the large space reserved for brewing equipment and barrels, which there are a fair few of. It opens up on the left side to a big grassy field where kids are running around freely, folks are playing corn hole and other games, and people sit and sip and chat. The coolest part is where it opens up out back. There is a nice little patio area and then a small slope down to the river, which flows swiftly by as we sit in some of the patio chairs and relax. A few pairs of seats on the banks of the river is all, wide open, just so pleasant to sit in the afternoon sun and watch the water. A food truck it set up back here as well. The beer was all super impressive, if oddly understated. For example, the menu simply offers a dry hopped lime basil sour, which as soon as I taste it I learn it is an open fermented wild beer, no mention of that at all on the menu. I feel like all the beer was ambitious and process intensive, and that it was all professionally executed with great attention to detail and some inventiveness in the recipes. All very humble and unpretentious too. the kellerpils was one of the best i have ever had! Its so mellow here, the servers are relaxed and calm, the other patrons are too, and its hard not to unwind here. I love it. Great beer, great energy, surprised these guys aren’t getting more attention. Im sure its only a matter of time. A special place to say the least!
