Bought online in the Phillipenes with expiry 1 month from now.

Small amount of foam poured. Faded away rather quickly. No lacing. Straw yellow color. Not much going for smell. Tastes a little sweet. Floral honey and graham cracker. Not much grain flavor. Overall very easy to drink.

I wouldn't say there is a ton of character here but I would say that I will consider buying again. Enjoyed the can for what it is.

500ml bottle her in the Alps. The beer has a bright golden color and is clear in the glass. The foam is fine-pored at first, but its longevity could be a little better. It smells quite neutral. The taste is quite pleasant. A mild beer, somewhat thin. However, a subtle hop bitterness comes through in the end. All in all, a solid beer that is very drinkable.Oettinger deliberately keeps the bottle design simple and inexpensive. At 10 Euros for a rack of 20 500ml bottles. Considering the price, it deserves a higher rating.

Darker colour than expected for a light helles, which is no bad thing. Looks OK - not as pale as many helles.
Smell was fine; hoppy, bit musty, but in a way you'd expect for this kind of lager. neither stood out nor offended.
Taste was just fine, as previous reviewers have said, I was pleasantly surprised considering it's quite low cost for a bottle. Perfectly good and drinkable as a light helles/lager, needs to be chilled, certainly had far worse. A reasonably natural mild flavoured lager. In fact I'm going to notch the mark up a bit, I'd certainly drink this again.
Feel was pretty thin, there are better of this type, but not terrible, and certainly not at the price level.
Overall I'd recommend; not your first go-to, but if you see a couple going at value, it's a perfectly drinkable refresher.
Kept good foam in the glass too, not that I let it linger that long!

330ml bottle, poured into pint shaker.

A: Golden, small thin head disappeared straight away, didn't leave any lacing, clear.

S: It was a struggle to detect any aroma aside from the faintest of malt and a tiny bit of corn.

T: Basic clean, malty sight hint of grain at the finish.

M: Not overly carbonated, medium body.

O: Not the best, but nowhere near as bad as some would make out, fairly easy to drink and very good value for money

Served cool from 500ml bottle into straight pilsner mug.

L) Medium golden colour, clear, very fizzy, fluffy 3cm white head, dissipates down to 2cm.

S) Lagery malts and yeast. Nothing out of the ordinary.

T) A bit thin on the malt flavour, although it is noted that this is 4.7%, a bit lighter ABV than most Helles. No bitterness as per the style. There's nothing actively unpleasant in the taste, it ust doesn't have the nice depth of malty flavour that I like in a Helles.

F) Fizzy, clean mouth feel, very easy drinking.

O) Perfectly drinkable lager, just not in the Bundesliga of Helles. There are many better versions of the style, I've got a feeling that this would be a very cheap supermarket version in Germany.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a clear, dark golden colour, with quite a weak head.

Smells very yeasty and light.

Tastes ok, malty and yeasty again, same depth of flavour as you'd expect, except for an overwhelming, slightly unpleasant tangy sweetness.

Overall an okay beer, not great but not awful either.

Pours yellow with large head that rather soon fades, no lacing. Aroma is grainy malt, one of the strongest grain aromas I have ever felt, it is not unpleasant though.

Taste is more subdued grainy malt than in aroma, some sweetness, light apples and a bit of herbal hops. Mouthfeel is light with moderate carbonation, there is a watery feel to it.

Overall, it is not bad. Although the beer does not pack much with regards to flavour, it is not repulsive in any way and is quite drinkable. Wish it was available during my student years.

Drank a lot of this while going to school in Luebeck. It was dreadfully cheap - around $.60 USD. You can imagine what sort of havoc this caused among the 19-21 yr olds in the group of American students I was with;) I remember it being eminently drinkable, a good tasting wheat beer that was very economical. While I would probably be less impressed with it today, you couldn't beat the price, and it was being sold next door to where I lived, so it was the perfect beer to drink while hanging around the apartment. If memory serves, where I was buying it from, it was coming from the brewery in Gotha, one of Oettinger's 4 breweries.

Nice long lasting white lace head with a light golden body color. A good crisp clear smell of light hops and not much else. Taste is a light beer flavor with nothing extremely outstanding in flavor or after taste.
