basic but tasty and drinkable, maybe a little bit generic on the yeast side of things here, but they did a good job not letting this run away and turn one dimensional on them, its obviously a familiar belgian strain here, but its somewhat subtle, maybe not fermented quite as hot as some. a bright golden beer with a lasting inch of white head from the tap. some green banana, pear, and coriander notes in the esters of the yeast here, less of the bubblegum and high tone minerality these often have, and i dig that, its lightly vinous and quite clean to drink, no real residual sugar underneath at the end, even though i get a hint of honey or something a little earlier on. the hops are very light here, but balance this out just enough, slight herbal character to them, but low bitterness, and this drinks well rounded, minimal, and even delicate. nice carbonation too, which is a must for me in these pale belgian styles. i have been impressed with the overall beer quality from these guys so far, even though i still havent had a ton of their stuff. nice to see a drinkable and well executed belgian like this on their menu when i was in this weekend. this has me dreaming of spring!
