Copenhagen 9/9 2023. 33 cl bottle from Spar, Langestraat, Oostende. A sketchy drawing of three adjoining houses on the label.
Pours unclear, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a humid, moldy scent of yeast. Hints of grains and alcohol. Sweet pale malts and bread. Abandoned basement. Metallic alcohol.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a touch of alcohol. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Solid Tripel without surprises.
