500ml bottle conditioned.
L: Black colour with absolutely no head or lacing at all.
S: Nothing bad, nothing good.
T: Black cherry and dark chocolate. Smoke and toasted malt emerges as the glass warms. Bitterness builds slowly but never gets much above light.
F: Super smooth and rich with a oily mouthfeel.
O: Disappointing to look at but very enjoyable to drink. Improves as it warms. The cherry is noticeable but not overwhelming. The mouthfeel is excellent. Add sucrose and it’s a Black Forest gateau milk stout.
