You’ll enjoy this beer if you like tropical islands, sea breezes, dropping the anchor and enjoying a bit of sunshine on the deck.

500ml brown glass bottle. No sunshine or sea breezes, just relentless rain from low-cast skies so, although this is pretty standard weather for Aberdeenshire in January and February, I’m not drinking this beer in the environment the brewery has in mind in its marketing blurb. It’s a green/gold, hazy pale ale with a gentle, mainly floral (orange blossom?) aroma and taste and a light body. Easy drinking verging on bland, I’m afraid, and entirely unsuited to the cold and the wet and The Grey.
