Dark mahogany to black with a foamy, tan coloured head that turns to a surface lacing soon after. The nose is dark & slightly smokey with roasted malts & a little sweetness while the taste is similar with some caramel & smoked wood, a few roasted malts & a medium, moderately carbonated body to finish. A fairly standard beer for the style but not too bad overall.
