Can. Light amber with a very thin but tight head.
Old school west coast APA smell. Citrus, pine and grass with notes of caramel.
Initial sweet fruity flavour is displaced by medium astringency at the end. Malt backbone.
Moderate carbonation and body.
Enjoyable and with a flavour I didn't know I missed.

440ml can from Lidl (£1.79):
Copper amber with a large, 2.5cm head that's thick & foamy looking whilst the body had a slight haze to it. Dry pine & stone fruits with some grapefruit & grassy notes to open the nose with some caramel malts in there too. The taste is more malt than hops & it's not as bitter or resinous as expected either; there's caramel with some lighter pine & subtle grapefruit further on but it's fairly standard with moderate carbonation & a sweetness from the malts at the end.
