My first beer from this Eastern Shore of Virginia brewer. Bought a 16 oz can at the Casual Pint in Virginia Beach...seems to be the "go to" place for local craft beer since Grape and Gourmet closed down!!! Poured into a pint glass, this beer featured a rich dark gold color...clear on first pour...hazy after that. Big frothy white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma and taste include moderate bitterness and piney hops with a little citrus. Mouthfeel is crisp, rich enough and a bit resiny from all the long leaf pine ingredients. (This beer was brewed in collaboration with a Nature Conservancy dedicated to restoring the long leaf pine). Good IPA, I had it with a fairly spicy goat curry and it held up well.
