Half pour at brewery. Dark, muddy brown pour, tiny bubbles. Aroma is prunes and plums, sweet. Taste is raisins and prunes, currants. Sweet, full bodied.

Had this beer at the brewery poured from tap into a half pint glass. Dark clear brown color with with good beige head and curtain lacing. Smell and taste of dark fruit and raisins. Sweet and slightly boozy. Caramel and a bit of chocolate. Good beer but not up to their tripel.

From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This BSDA pours
a ruby tinged dark brown with subtle hints of light shining through
and a nice head of quickly dissipating pale tan foam that settles
to a thin ring with no lacing. Nose of phenol laden yeast, dark
brown sugars, dates, and subtle spice notes. Flavors follow the nose
with dates, figs, subtle banana notes from the yeast with touches of
bread crust, subtle hints of spice that make me think of rye and wafts
of white pepper. Decent mouth feel; medium body, light carbonation,
and a subtly warming and moderately sweet finish that is moderately
dry.
An excellent ale that will improve with time and skill
from a new to the area brewery.
Cheers
