From the growler via the brewery. This solid little brew pours
a rich brownish black with a nice head of off white / tan foam
that subsides to a thick ring, thin, light, dusty layer, and shows
light lacing. Nose of dark cocoa powder, subtle dark malts,
and touches of light char. Flavors surpass by presentation with
dark cocoa, subtle dark coffee, and medium char and roast notes
with subtle herbal hops. Nice mouth feel; full body, medium light
carbonation, moderately coating, and finishing subtly dry.

For a "flavored" chocolate stout this is a nicely balanced
cocoa (bitter) forward brew that is easily a good session
brew for the stout lovers!
