This is by far one of my favorite amber ales in the whole world. Even pouring as cold as it does, the flavors really punch through the palate. Deep amber color with a lacy head, the smooth spicy aroma leads into a smooth body with a definitive caramel malt presence and a perfectly balanced bitter/spice hop profile. Just awesome.

Draft at San Francisco location. This beer is hyped as the house favorite, It lived up to the hype for me. Nice full red color, fluffy tan head. Very sweet roasted carmel, toffee smell. (I had it just after the IPA, so I think the sweet carmel smell and taste jumped out.) Nice full thicker beer, very filling, and tasty too. I can see where this won some gold medals. Finish seemed just right, no harsh flavors, asked you to have another sip.
