Kolsch means "from Cologne" in German. And only a few traditional Cologne breweries are permitted to produce this gem of a summer beer. Two Coast Kolsch is crafted to the same exacting standards. With perfectly balanced pale barley and wheat malts it is light, fresh, sparkling, yet big in taste.

I am sampling a lightly chilled 16 oz can and pouring into my .3L stange.
There is no date stamp on the can or label.
Beer pours a bright clear golden hue with a fluffy bleached white head of about 2.5 cm foaming up. This foam slowly fades to a sturdy edging and leaves soapy lattice on the sides of my glass.
There are a few lazy streams of carbonation rising to the surface but they dont really replenish the foam.
Aroma is some light cereal malt and i get a good bit of white grape here. I often get this scent in kolsch beers. Otherwise the nose isnt super robust , but I find it suitable for the style.
First sip reveals a light body with very smooth texture and fine tingly carbonation. The carbonation is actually fairly gentle and the beer drinks very easy.
Flavor is similar to the nose for me, with some cereal malt, a little white grape fruitiness and here some grassy hop notes rolls through the finish. never any hint of the ABV, which is low, but definitely hidden.
A nice refreshing kolsch style beer. Glad to have tried it!

Pours a bright gold with massive fluffy head that sticks. Lacing is huge and impressive. Fresh aroma and crisp feel and flavor. I like this style and I like how this one landed for me.
DoctorRobert1969 thinks this tastes like a rotten apple. Hmm, well give he has zero likes and the other review which rates this highly and has more than 6200 BA likes... think I'd trust mactrail on this.

Clear golden brew with abundant foam in the Zunft Kölsch glass. Crisp and light with a mild wheaty taste. Modest flavors, sudsy mouthfeel, and clean beery aftertaste. A hint of herbs and mineral taste but very light. Lacks the perfumey taste of the best German products but highly quaffable. This is one of the better American brews in the Kölsch style I've had in a long time. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'shea Brew Co.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
