Went hiking out west a few months back and of course, had to get my hands on this when I saw it at the Chukchansi Crossing in Coarsegold, California. The label reminded me of Yosemite and the liquid inside was more than fitting for day out on the trails, as well!
Hazy, golden, and a bit too muted in appearance, a ton of voluminous head topped it off as it quickly settled down. Very little spotty lacing remained as the suds were gone from the top of the liquid in no time. Straw, grass, and a bit of urine were in the nose as the taste was just as easygoing and not particularly memorable. Some grain and malt emerged once this warned up as the carbonation and alcohol were just as light as the range of flavors present.
Couldn't decipher the numbers on the bottom of the can, although the "25181" might be the day of this year when this was packaged. Something like this was fine, but would be better off coming in a smaller package in order to more easily carry it when out and about. More boldness and less of a sour tone would have made this stand out but in the end, this was a delight for me - even if the weather was rapidly turning into winter during my time out there!

Great base components, but a higher ABV would do wonders. What’s here is good, but an opportunity for a greater beer seems slightly missed. Also, this shouldn’t be listed as a German Pilsner as it’s a textbook Czech pils.
