Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very hazy medium golden yellow with a big three finger white head with god retention and lacing. Aroma of mildly caramel malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops, lemon,orange, pineapple and guava. Flavor is neutral malt, grassy and lighlty citrus hops, pineapple, lemon, kiwi. Finishes with mild to moderate hop bitterness and residual lemon and grapefruit rind. Medium bodied with nice moderate creaminess. A somewhat mellow take on the NE IPA style I have admittedly not had any of the classics actually from the NE, but compared to ales of this style available here this was low on bitterness but with a fairly typical citrus and tropical fruit profile. The fruit flavor combination grew on me as I drank this, but I found myself wishing for more hop bitterness. Good enough to try more from this new brewery that is just introducing cans.
