A sticky/dank twist on Candy Toys. TDH'd with 5lbs/bbl of Simcoe, Mosaic, and tons of pelletized Citra cryo/lupulin powder.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a hazy, medium golden amber with a two finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and dank hops, lemon, orange and slight mixed tropical fruit. Flavor is mildly caramel malt, citrus and piney hops, lemon, orange, grapefruit, hints of light stone fruit. Finishes with robust citrus, dank and piney hops with flavorful lingering herbal hops. Medium bodied with light creaminess and sharp carbonation. An odd big IPA here. The can and website say this is a NE style IPA, and although it is lightly hazy, it is hopped more like West Coast style IPA, and quite a good one at that. There are hints of tropical fruit, but not what I'd expect from the NE style. But this is a case of missing the called target, but winning the game, because this is a full bodied and tasty IPA. The finish is excellent, and one of the few where the dankness in the aroma actually is a flavor in the finish. My last IPA from Mirage was good, but did not stand out in the pack. This is very well done and makes me want to check out their future offerings.
