From old, undated notes. Poured from the bottle.

Black/brown color.

Nice khaki head; minimal lace.

Yeast, oats, nuts, milk & peanut butter in the nose. Unique.

Medium thin mouthfeel.

Nuts, oats, milk & peanut butter in the taste.

A porter to turn heads, & indecently drinkable. Wow.

A: The beer is dark amber brown when views from afar and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off whit head that died down a bit but never completely faded away.
S: Light aromas of dark fruits and sweet malts are present in the nose. The fruits become a little stronger as the beer warms up.
T: The taste mostly follows the smell and has flavors of dark fruits and malts along with slight hints of sweetness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer tastes like a hybrid between a Belgian Strong Dark Ale and an English Porter. It is easy to drink.

The beer has too much carbonation and pours a bubbly head which quickly fades. The beer is very dark brown and the head is beige.

The smell is lightly roasted with hints of cold coffee and a little acrid roast. The beer smell is backed up by a clean yeast character.

The taste has hints of coffee, plums and bread. The roast seems a bit acrid and sour and the balance seems a bit off. The dark malts are not backed up by a full body or maltiness. Once the beer has lost it's excessive carbonation, the beer appears to more drinkable. The yeast offers no character I can taste.

Pours a deep dark brown with a large lasting tan head. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, espresso and some cacao , and some dark fruity esters, plums. Taste is dominated by roasted caramel malt, espresso and a cacao flavor, with some yeast and light bitterness. Palate is a medium to full body and flavor with good carbonation. Finish is sweet roasted caramel malt, espresso, cacao with some dark fruity notes ending with some good bitter hops for balance. Overall a good and enjoyable porter.

This is an interesting "porter." I'd probably personally classify it as a dark Belgian ale. It looks oddly murky and opaque on the pour, but the flavor is fairly smooth with some earthy sweet tones. A decent beer, but it lacks focus and direction. Just seems to float on the board without you being able to really peg it in place.

Fills a tulip glass dark brown to near black with a slight beige head that quickly drops to a thin blanket. There is some carbonation on the glass with modest lacing and a film.

There are some alcohol fumes to be found with plum and chocolate, but little else.

Opens with dark fruit and bitterness. Astringency comes on strong and lasts throughout. There is a long, light, sour effect with astringency through a long finish. Some chocolate can also be found in the finish.

A medium body with watery texture, light carbonation, and, again, astringency. Alcohol is surprisingly present.

There is nothing remarkable about this beer. It would make a fine occasional beer for lunch or a snack.

This porter improves with warmth; however, the astringency fatigues the palate.

Porter english style, from Netherlands.
Golding hops and dark malts.

Looks dark reddish brown, pale head.
Smell and taste are of roasted malts, some mild bittersweet hops, fruity and floral.
Mouthfeel is very watery and thin. Finish is quick and mild bitter.

Overall, this porter isn't too impressive. Allthough aroma and flavour are ok, the mouthfeel just lets down.

Ok to try, but don't get your hopes up too high.

A - light through middle of glass, very tall head that leaves heavy lacing.

S - overall far too mild. Light malts and something candy like such as caramel.

T - malts and something like a sour cherry, but not sour. Mild bitter after taste.

M - good coating, tingle on front sides of tongue.

D - different enough to have a few.

Geez, this is a pretty good beer; at least the one I have is. Poured with a large light tan foamy frothy head with lots of lace. Color is a lovely clear dark cherry wood. Aroma is malty, a bit roasty, chocolate, and a bit of fruit. Flavor is similar to aroma but more of everything. Good body and carbonation. A bit of a tang in the finish. Very drinkable.

Semi-solid brown pour with some whitish head. Goes to a ring quickly. Not much lacing to speak of.

Malty aroma, some caramel and peat. Little tea, leather and molasses.

Taste matches ok. Off putting carboard or paper cup is the negative. Otherwise, the toasted malt, caramel, peat and leather are nicely there. A little apple jolly rancher in the finish. Finishes with this and a little roast...and a little of the paper cup unfortunately.

Mouthfeel is a little thin and a little bubbly. Abv is non-existant and it is pretty drinkable. Kind of meh, but not a drain pour by any means.

Lovely dark, reddish brown body, though which light passes, but with difficulty. Head was a nice two finger khaki coloured foam which hung around for a while.
Smell was big sweet malts and dark fruit. Perhaps a touch of the whole baker's chocolate / coffee thing, but very mildly so. This one is more malt and fruit than anything else. Quite nice, really.
Taste is malty, fruity, bready, and in that order. Tasty, for sure. Mouthfeel is very nice! Much more solid and heavier in the mouth than one would expect, especially at only 5,5%. Smooth, almost silky and with a bit more carbonation than I typically care for, but in this, I loved it.
Very surprisingly solidly crafted porter. Impressive.

Pours a semi-transparent Coca-Cola brown with a fairly thick pale beige head. Aroma is smoky with a firm undertone of unsweetened chocolate. Flavor is smoky and chocolaty and fairly sweet with a whisper of cola. Texture is smooth and fizzy and leaves a nice tingle.

When pouring this porter, the color was a dark cola / ruby red. The foam was a medium straw color. The smell was a deep robust, yet light bouquet and somewhat flowery hints that pleased the olfactory sences. It's taste was nice and robust, but easy to go down with a full-body and smooth mouthfeel.

(Served in a Nonic)

A- This beer pours a deep dense opaque brown body with a light glow at the base of the glass. There is a rocky head of light tan that looks a bit like the surface of the moon. The beer sticks to the glass as the head slowly shrinks.

S- This beer has a very clean aroma with hints of chalk and rain to it. As the beer warms an apple juice aroma comes through and increases.

T- This beer has a rich roasted malt flavor with a slight smoky hint to it and some faint cherry brightness to the finish. As the beer warms the cherry hint turns into a soft apple juice that lingers a bit after each sip.

M- This beer has a medium mouthfeel with a tight little fizz finish.

D- This beer has some nice roasted flavor but they are a bit light and both aromas and tastes are covered up by apple juice when the beer warms.
