Light, golden color with minimal head and considerable lacing as I enjoyed the pint. A fruity aroma emanates from it with lingering notes of bitterness that fill the nostrils and closely mirror the experience of drinking it. The first sip is intriguing, with more of the bitterness breaking through than any fruity taste. However, if you give this beer a chance and take the time to savor every sip from beginning to end you will find that it is surprising and delightful in all of the best ways. I am reticent to give it a higher score because the bitterness is overwhelming at first, and because the mouthfeel is not becoming of a fruity/bitter formulation, but it is still a solid brew and one that I would not avoid if I see it on draft.

16 oz can, dated 9/13/21, acquired from brewery (thanks Nick, we are practically brothers now), into THAT! NE IPA snifter.

Hazy but not juicy blonde, just as it should be, with a stable finger of white head, leaving lots of lace as it's swirled, thickly.

Aroma is dry ramen, pine water, pineapple, and slight mango skin.

Flavor is equally juicy and piney, does a great job of ringing both bells for me. Has a good amount of bitterness as expected, and lingers long. Descriptors of dry crunchy ramen, wet earth, pine, slight unmolested natural honey, various fresh wet herbs, with a finish of grapefruit zest and stale cereal. I can almost taste marshmallows too with that stale cereal note but that's probably my brain filling in the blanks.

Feel is resinous all the way to the bank, with a wonderful busy carbonation piercing through it to keep it from sticking like peanut butter. Alcohol heat is mild to moderate, it's there but not obnoxious. Parching and sticking finish that clings to the roof but not the cheeks.

Overall, much better on tap, in fact juicier too, I really enjoyed my pint there. But this canned version is more standard west coast fare - not popping quite as much with the fruit, but more rough n' dirty, great for folks who love westy pine bombs and are sick of da juice. No hint of spoilage at 2+ months. Excellent canning.

$2.50 can acquired @ brewery

I am trying a can of this beer at my bestie's house in Charlotte, NC. It poured a very slightly hazy yellow with white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had bright pine notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sharp pine hop zeal. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Awesome find while in Davidson, NC. 16 oz can with nice scent of citrus. Taste is total west coast. Mostly pine with nice bitter finish. Not too juicy. Alcohol hidden well.

Solid west-coast style IPA...Delightfully dank, grapefruit hoppy dryness! Extremely well-hidden alcohol(6.4%)...sessionable during a typical hot NC humid summer!

A: Pours a relatively clear medium golden honey in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate peach + apricot + medium golden yellow + copper colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small to medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit zest + citrus/grapefruit pith + tropical/mango + stone fruit/peach + floral hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of toasted + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of toasted + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit zest + citrus/grapefruit pith + tropical/mango + stone fruit/peach + floral hops which impart a light to moderate amount of aggressive lingering bitterness.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp upfront with a light to moderate amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly crisp + refreshing mouthfeel. Enjoyable with a pleasant citrus/tropical/floral hop presence and a decent amount of aggressive bitterness. I like this West Coast IPA and definitely enjoyed it after 9 fast miles in the big time heat earlier today.
