2021 version - Aged in organic Catoctin Creek Rye whiskey barrels for twelve months. This imperial stout boasts notes of vanilla and silky chocolate with a strong whiskey character.

Plum-hued black with three fingers of mocha head. It’s settles fairly quickly into a creamy-looking cap that leaves modest lacing.
Big chocolate and whiskey in the nose, with hints of coffee, cinnamon and cherry beneath.
Roasted malts, whiskey, strong coffee, vanilla, nuttiness, cinnamon and pepper in the taste.
Creamy feel with low carbonation.
Probably the spiciest rye barrel-aged brew I’ve ever tasted. Comes across almost like a pepper stout. Good stuff!

073119: On draught at Tattoed Brews. First time trying this is not a disappointment. Nice off-white head with decent retention. Minimal lacing. Aromas of oak toasted marshmallows and alcohol. Taste is robust oak and vanilla. Medium to full mouthfeel is spot on. Best brew I’ve had from these guys... so far.
