Poured vom fass to a 1/2 L glass krug the brew is coudy mahogany with a tall creamy off white head with staying power.
The aroma is sweet lightly roasted Muenchener and Vienna malts with a perfectly balanced tattenger hop finish.
The taste is excellent, this is right in the wheel house of what a Muenchener Dunkels beir should be. The caramel and light toasted dark bread notes coupled with a delicious sweetness make this brew extremely sessionable. The noble hoppy finish completes the taste profile to near perfect balance clearing the palate.
the mouthfeel is spot on for the style, medium body and good carbonation.
The drinkability is excellent this is a beer you can drink alot of, goes great with food as well. Prosit

Bought a half litre flip-top carry-out bottle at the brewhouse in Speyer, Germany.
Clear dark amber color in the glass. Nice lacy foam and attractive appearance. Some malt with hints of caramel, but not at all sweet or rich. Watery mouthfeel which would be refreshing if you were thirsty. No particularly notable aroma. Predominate flavor is a not very pleasant bitterness which is quite strong in the aftertaste. Muddy flavor like cheap tea full of twigs.
Seems surprisingly unbalanced for a German beer, but maybe it's more of a home brew. I didn't have a chance to try their other beers.

Reddish brown color, a right beige foam, not too much, but ok.
Malty smell, a bit of caramel, quite clean, but nothing to remember.
Better in the taste. Again malt and caramel, quite fresh, a bit of roast, and dusty. Well mixed.
Light body, drinkable.
Again caramel, with some bitterness.
Simple, but well made, and pleasant.
