German malt and hops, robust lager yeast, step-mashed and decocted. This beer rested in our tanks for 6 weeks until it was ready. Smooth, breads, light, caramel.

Picked up a 16 oz can from the Blue Door Bottleshop in Hendersonville 10-26-22 for $5.25. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured light brown with a nice white head with the original pour.
Nose is light toasted malts and Noble hops.
Taste is a bready toasted malt base with a good dose of Noble hops. Finishes with an edge of bitterness and a bready hop.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and kind of refreshing.
Overall i like the bold flavor as it explodes with each sip despite this being packaged in September. Would have again!

Update: 10/8/23 - Brewery tweaked this for 2023 and nailed it.
Appearance: Clear, brilliant amber. Off white head good retention
Aroma: malty, floral
Flavor: Spicy hops, bready & toasty malt. Not too sweet. Restrained bitterness.
Mouth feel: Medium to full bodied. Drying.
Overall: The 2022 version was lighter bodied and too bitter. What I like about Good Word is brewer Todd is a perfectionist and will tweak something until it's right. 2023 version is spot on. Excellent, well crafted Marzen. Can compete with the German imported versions.
