A complex malt bill with a mash schedule that included three dococtions where we boiled the mash for over 25min each to get some great malt character and color from. We made this beer with our friends Sojourn Fermentory in Virginia. It’s rather delicious and perfect for the cold weather.

Picked up a 16 oz can from The Blue Door Bottleshop in Hendersonville 12-8-22 for $5.00. Canned presumably in the Fall 2022; consumed 6-18-23.
Beer poured dark brown with a very nice off white head.
Nose has mild notes of a toasted malt bill and hints of Noble hops.
Taste is so very nice; a toasted malt base gives me sourdough bread with only a slight trace of sweetness. Hopping is spot on and balances this out perfectly, leaving a lovely taste of sourdough bread with each sip.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and very smooth.
Overall, totally dig this brew! Wish i had bought a four-pack. One cannot go wrong with Good Word!

I had this on draft 12/2/22 @ Barrique Brewing & Blending.
Roasty, kinda thick and satisfying. Good winter beer; coats your mouth with rich dark lager goodness!
