Appearance: Clear, dark brown. Khaki, frothy, mousse-like head with good retention.
Aroma: Dark malts with caramel and sweetened coffee-like note.
Flavor: Caramel and sweetened coffee note. Low bitterness.
Mouth feel: Medium bodied. Sem-dry. Low carbonation.
Overall: On spec. Good Word does a great job with Czech Lagers. This one has nice malt complexity showing mild caramel and sweetened coffee notes. The roasted malt flavors are present but with appropriate mildness and no burnt flavors. Bitterness is low. Carbonation low. Best part is, it is done with a 4.4% ABV making it very sessionable.
