Appearance: Pours a medium brown body with a short-lived, ivory-colored head.
Smell: Dark-toasted breadcrust wrapped with a moderate smokiness and supported by lighter malty scents of coffee, chocolate and toffee with a scattered sprinkling of cooked nuts.
Taste: Lightly sweet, with soft hints of coffee and chocolate-covered toffee. Toasted breadcrust and biscuit tops. Slight touch of sugar-sweetened cold black tea amidst the smoked malts and earthy nuttiness. Very faint, far-off fruitiness. Furthered leafy, herbal hop hint approaching the thinning, lightly drying finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Relatively light carbonation.
Overall: Fairly solid brown porter with a nice layer of smokiness.
