Made from a recipe in Ron Pattinson's latest book AK. Maris Otter, flaked rice, dextrose, Invert sugar no.2 and Tradition and Golding hops. A longer boil rate with Invert sugar impart a nice color and give a subtle maltiness to balance the bitterness. A historical English Bitter style.

16 ounce can - $4.00 at Woodstock Beer Market in Woodstock, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a nearly clear, rich golden body with a bubbly, sudsy, white head.
Smell: Biscuit tops, biscuit innards with a small blip of toffee, treacle and subtle fruitiness. The sturdy hop nose gives an earthy, herbal, grassy even woodsy fragrance.
Taste: Lightly biscuity pale malts with a brushing of sweet toffee glaze that readily evaporates. Soundly earthy, grassy, lightly woodsy hops take up the flavor with a solid bitterness. Readily dry at the finish with its bitterness not lingering too far into the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: A very likable ale with an equally likable ABV.

A nice clear golden color. Moderate length head. Fruity aroma. Grainy malt and spicy hops. Moderate bitterness gives good balance. Dry with a short clean finish. Good lower ABV drinking beer.
