Appearance: Jet black with no head. Very little carbonation.
Aroma: Caramel, toffee, syrup.
Flavor & aftertaste: Syrup like sweet, toffee and caramel. Very low bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Sticky sweet, cloying. Warming on the back end.
Overall: Decent, not one of GWB better BW. Overly sweet and sticky even for a barelywine. Barrel character barely shows. A rare miss for GWB. I think the problem was they couldn't decide if they wanted a BW or an Imperial Stout.
