I tried this beer at the brewery with HomeBrew as part of a four sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with thick ecru head that did not leave much lace. The scent was very subtle with hints of roast, cocoa and earth. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base and roast and peat finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with smooth subtle carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.
