Blonde Ale

a somewhat boring blonde ale, but well enough made, not as exciting to me as just about everything else we had in here, but i guess every brewery needs an option for the macro type drinkers, and this is better than many. its somewhat devoid of character, but its also a little heavy in feel compared to the norm, which i kind of like, good body, not watery at all. golden in color, not overly pale, a little brassy shine to it and a short white head. the nose is really muted, faint sweetness from the barley malt, but not much else, basically character-less yeast, and while i taste some hops, i cant smell them much. a light bready taste here, mostly grain driven but not sweet or conventionally malty, just kind of yellow beer i suppose, a little sweetness is nice, faint floral character to the hops at the end, just a tiny bit of bitterness, clean enough at the end. bold in feel but not in flavor, but also well carbonated, maybe not as easy drinking as some, but if you cant pound on this you arent really a beer drinker anyway. hard to cover up technical flaws in a beer this basic, and there arent any here. boring but well made.
