Had on tap. Pours clear, straw yellow in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is big vegetal Taste, pepper, and cream. Medium light body, hot, moderate carbonation, slightly sweet. A lot too vegetal for me but does what it says it will.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear light straw yellow color. Aroma and flavor feature crisp, clean grainy malt with a hint of corn and a touch of jalapeno spice. My brother-in-law thought it was spicier than I did. An interesting beer to try, and I imagine that the heat would creep up on you with a full 16-oz pour.

Canned 12/30/19. Let warm to 50F +/- .
Translucent deep gold, with two-finger creamy white head, that never completely goes away. 1" sheets of lacing, that give 50% coverage.
Smell is initially bready malt, with a little fruity aroma. No noticeable pepper. As the head gets down to about 50%, the pepper comes out, and becomes the strongest element. Smells like jalapeno jelly +/-, but less strong. The open can gives a sweet roasted pepper aroma, as that of peppers cooked down, with some maple syrup and a little vinegar. Your liking of these aromas will probably be directly correlated to your appreciation of peppers.
Taste is a mild fruity mix - apple+pear+sweet pepper - that is of neutral sweetness , not sweet, not sour, some mild fresh white bread flavor, and barely-there floral hops. No heat apparent until the very end, and lingering afterwards. It shows up on the tip of the tongue and back of the throat. At the same time, some fresh jalapeno flavor shows up. Normally, jalapenos have the particular capsacin combination that burns my lips, so I tend to favor other peppers, even if (especially! ;) ) hotter. Not so this. No lip burn. As it warms, I'm also getting a little inner ear warming. +++ :)
(I've always maintained that if your nose runs, your neck sweats, & your ears warm, those are good peppers. ;) )
Just enough light bitterness to be noticed.
Feel is light-medium, alternating between slightly watery(colder) and slightly oily(as it warms). Very very fine moderate carbonation that combines with the heat and bitterness to produce a slight drying effect at finish.
Overall, just fantastic! My favorite beer of 2020, so far. A joy to drink.
Highly recommend, even if you're not searching for high Scoville Units. This is actually mild , heat-wise, and is more about the flavor than the heat. Well-done, K2 !

One of the first hot pepper ales I tried, and still the best that’s generally available in the Rochester area. Not a regular go to, but a nice change when im in the mood for something other than an IPA.

P: Orange copper color very thin head with no lacing.
S: Spicy notes with a definite strong jalapeño.
T: A bit of a spicy bite upfront with a strong lingering heat and spicyness on the back end.
MF: Very thin mouthfeel and not creamy at all.

Really like this variety. The jalapeño is not as overpowering as others I have tried. Very smooth and drinkable. Available in pint cans. Would definitely drink this one again.
