Interesting flavor, but the COMPLETE lack of any carbonation makes the mouthfeel odd & cloying. Brown sugar flavor is prominent, more so than the vanilla you might expect from a beer aged for a year in bourbon barrels. If this was carbonated, then it might not seem so muddy, flavor-wise. I keep trying to like K2 beers, but I don't understand their choices, sometimes...

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with basically no head or lacing.
This smells like caramel, maple, milk chocolate, oak, and bourbon.
The lack of carbonation here makes this feel a little bit sweet and a little bit sloppy, but there's still some good aspects to this one. There's a nice caramel, brown sugar, and almost maple character - maybe from the base stout, maybe from the barrel? It's hard to tell. There's some sweet milk chocolate, bourbon, oak, and vanilla as well.
This is medium bodied, syrupy, with very little carbonation overall. It's a slow sipper, due to the fact it's essentially still.
I wanted to like this one a bit more, but there's still a good amount to like here overall.
