This dunkelweiss was brewed with Pilsner, Wheat, Vienna, and Midnight Wheat Malts which give the beer a dark and roasty aroma, along side the traditional banana and clove expected in a German hefeweizen.

On tap at K2 Brewing in Penfield, NY.

This one pours a dark-ish brown color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like toasted malt, banana, clove, honey, and caramel.

This is maybe a little bit too sweet over how a traditional take on this would taste, but it’s still overall pretty tasty. There’s a nice breadiness here, caramel and toast, with a hint of wheat flavors, banana, clove, straw, grassiness.

This is medium bodied, pretty creamy, with a nice drinkability.

K2 is one of the streakiest local breweries we have here. This is luckily a pretty good effort.
