This beer, our take on the New England style pale ale, is an evolution of our uber-popular cloudy White IPA. We took that incredibly drinkable Citra-bomb and jammed even more Citra goodness into it alongside wheat malt and lactose for added body. We lowered its ABV to a "just-right" 6% and fine tuned its bitterness down to a perfect 55 IBU. It pours a hazy yellow with thick white head. Intense Citra hop flavor and a blend of grapefruit, orange and lemon dance on your palate.

Appearance: Lightly hazy, displaying a very pale, soft yellow tone. Light, lacy, white head.
Smell: Fruity, citrusy flourishes of lime, grapefruit, even a little orange, with just a bit of its malts, its wheat underneathe.
Taste: Opens sweet, surprisingly so, likely a function of the lactose. Delicate maltiness, a little cushion of wheat, for a taste of pale bread with the crusts removed. Citrus components come across as a candyish flavor, due to the sustained sweetness. Minimally bitter, a touch of resinous astringency (mainly on the swallow). Yet the beer still finishes fairly sweet.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: Sweet lactose IPA's and pale ales. This is where we're at, folks?
