3rd year anniversary addition was quite juicy with grapefruit, tangerine, honeydew melon, lemon zest, orange peel, caramel, biscuit, tea leaf, piney notes, toasted grains and faint peppery spices as it fades off dry and clean.

This IPA is very hop heavy and becomes a bit overpowering if it gets warmer (towards the end of the glass). Still a nice one!

Probably the least impressive beer I've had from this brewery. Still, not bad but a brewery that has nailed so many styles, including a Quadrapel, this is less memorable. Pours a mostly clear gold color with a medium size foamy head. Good retention and minimal lacing on the pint glass. Aroma was minimal for a high .abv IPA. Some citrus and bitterness but very mild. Taste is more robust, good bitterness and some tropical and light fruit. There is another flavor that takes from an overall good flavor...either floral hops on steroids or some kind of mild metallic taste. This is not completely off-putting and you get used to it the more you drink, but it is still not a good aspect to the flavor. An Imperial IPA should have a bit more overall flavor than this beer shows. Mouthfeel is good, medium bitterness and rich enough for an Imperial IPA. There are better Imperial IPA's out there, but this is still not a bad beer,

A: Pale yellow in color with a large white head.

S: Light straw, with some earthy notes. Light pear, apricot, and melon.

T: Flavor is a little more assertive than the aroma. Musky melon, with pear, and apricots. Some tropical flavors, but a little cloying, and something else in there that tastes a bit funky. Definitely a bit hot, with something herbal in the finish.

M: Medium thick in mouthfeel, moderate carbonation, and a dry finish.

O: Overall fairly run of the mill, nothing knock out.

From the bottom of the can: "CANNED ON 06/07/19 10:02"

Appearance: The body is a light gold color with some moderate haze and numerous tiny suspended particulates. The head is large and white with very good retention and lacing.

Aroma: The beer has a bit of a cabbage scent with a stronger aroma of garlic cloves.

Taste: There is a flavor of garlic and a bit of onion with some mint towards the back end. It takes on a bit of rye flavor towards the middle. Alcohol flavor lingers around. It has a slightly grassy aftertaste with a bit of mint.

Mouthfeel: It has a good strong bitterness which supports a light but raspy body. Good carbonation.

Overall: It is a pretty average tasting Imperial IPA. It has a decent flavor and aroma. It's not a beer I would likely recommend or pick up again but it's the kind of beer you would be fine drinking if somebody handed it to you.

Straw yellow pour, thick sticky head. Firm dank hop aroma, hint of tropical citrus fruit. Deceptively smooth for hop and abv. Delicious.
