Appearance: Straw yellow, fluffy white head with good retention

Aroma: clove, banana

Flavor & aftertaste: Yeasty, clove, some banana

Mouth feel: light to medium bodied, effervescent.

Overall: solid hefe. Very enjoyable. Recommend.

Picked up a crowler at the brewery in Va Beach. Listed here and on the New Realm web site as 4.8% abv. My beer came in a generic crowler with the type of beer and the abv (listed as 5.0%) put on a sticky label on the can. Poured into an Aventinus weizen glass. Nicely carbonated with a medium size fizzy white head. Head retention is average to slightly less and there is little or no lacing. Nice color, slightly darker than the typical straw yellow. This is a deeper gold and only slightly hazy. Aroma and taste are very representative of the style. Wheat bitterness, yeast, cloves, banana, a little lemon...they are all there. I poured half of the crowler into a growler before I drank the rest of it and the aroma from the pour filled the room!!!!! Good strong flavor with the yeast, cloves and malt most prominent. Mouthfeel is light and crisp with a strong astringency from the wheat and spicing. Very refreshing as a summer beer!!!! Another winner from New Realm.
