There doesn't seem to be a date on the bottle except for on the label where it states "2019 VOLUME 1 OF 5."
Appearance: The body is a dark bronze color with tea-like colors of gold and golden-brown as the light and shadows strike it. It has a short white head that dissipates quickly. Spotty lacing.
Aroma: It has a ton of alcohol aroma on the nose. It smells simply of bourbon.
Taste: Up front there is a pleasant flavor of sugar syrup and a touch of vanilla. It is very sweet tasting and there is just a light character of caramelized sugar at the end. A light presence of alcohol shows up from time to time but it is masked alsmost instantly by the sugary sweetness of this beer. After a while a bit of banana chip flavor came through towards the end of sipping the beer.
Mouthfeel: It is very smooth and impressively so. There is an alcohol presence but it is very mellow. The body is on the upper edge of light. It is very pleasant to drink.
Overall: The beer is incredibly sweet tasting, to the point where a caution would actually be in order. If you can tolerate a very sweet tasting beer then I would recommend it despite that it has a strongly alcohol aroma. It will reward you with a nice flavor and an effortlessly smooth body. This would work well as a dessert beer or perhaps paired with something like a plain cheesecake. I could drink it again, and in fact the more I drink the beer the more I start to get acclimatized to the sweetness.
