A light dessert beer...
Though it has very little head to speak of, it has a nice dark and clouded caramel color with chunks of what I suspect are cacao nibs floating about. The smell is sweet, but not overly and blends well with a distance scent of floral hops. Mouthfeel is light and crisp, almost watery but not so much so. The taste is a nice blend of light hop bitterness along with a light sweet flavoring of caramel, cocoa, and some hints of raisins and even fig. It is a dessert beer, but not one of those overpoweringly sweet versions from ST...Nice job by New Realm...

FRom the pint can, it pours a brown color with an off-white head that slowly reduces to a ring. The nose gets coconut predominantly, with notes of chocolate. The mouth gets the same: coconut with chocolate notes. It is slightly watery.

Look: Poured in to a pint glass a beautiful translucent mahogany brown with an off white head. Good foam fingers lace the sides from top to bottom.
Smell and Taste: Dates and raisins followed a slight amount coconut and cocoa. Very sweet and malty.
Feel: Light and seltzer like.
Overall: Easy to drink but a little too heavy on the sweetness scale to have more than one at a time.

Poured moderately hard from a tall can into a small tulip glass, forming a couple fingers of light tan head that soon faded to heavy lacing. Translucent medium brown color with a hint of orange, as well as some haze suspended. Definitely smells of sweet coconut, not much else. Taste is a bit of malty porter in the background, coconut up front, and maybe a bit of cocoa somewhere. Moderately sweet. Light to medium bodied and moderate carbonation. Pretty easy to drink dessert porter overall, good if you like cocount.

Unusual porter. Not quite a "dessert beer" but close!!! Picked up a 16 oz can at the Casual Pint in Va Beach. Pours a dark brown color into a pint glass. A lot of light comes through, giving off ruby highlights. Big off white, frothy, light tan head with excellent retention. Tons of thick frothy lacing on the glass. A good looking beer. Aroma is chocolate and coconut as advertised, Fairly strong and very pleasant. Taste is similar - somewhat sweet, lots of chocolate and coconut - malty but not malt is not an up-front flavor. The coconut is kind of like vanilla as far as my opinion goes on ingredients in stouts and porters. A little is OK. A lot overdoes it!!!! Mouthfeel is rich and sweet. There is kind of a "pastry" aspect - like the name suggests. Not just the usual toasted malt/coffee kind of Porter. I had it with a corned beef dinner. It was good , but a standard Porter would have been better. Still a worth-while beer with unusual flavors.

From the bottom of the can, right at the outside rim: "PKG 12/08/20 16:25"
Appearance: The beer has a very dark brown colored body. It has a very light tan head that is medium-large sized and fluffy. It has very good retention and some lacing sticks to the side of the glass.
Aroma: Peanutbutter comes through at first. There is a hint of roasted grains that pop up afterwards, with a bit of charred character or carbon. There is a scent of chocolate candy as well. It smells a bit like a crushed Reece's Pieces.
Taste: Up front there is a coconut and chocolate flavor. Towards the middle it has a bit of a peanut and burnt cocoa character. The coconut flavor builds up slowly over time as each sip is consumed. Some alcohol flavor pops in from time to time, but it resides mostly in the background.
Mouthfeel: It is medium bodied. Bitterness is average and seems to lean more towards chocolate bitterness rather than grain or hop bitterness. Carbonation is good for the beer, if only a bit high for what is expected for a standard Porter.
Overall: The beer has a decent number of flavor and aroma characters, but the flavors only appear to touch the palate and lack presence and persistence. The label states that this is made "with COCONUT & CACAO NIBS." It does have a coconut flavor, although it doesn't come through in the aroma. The cacao comes across more as a candy chocolate, and there is no mention on the label in regards to peanuts, although it seems to taste like it. As a dessert beer it lacks body and decadence but it has much of the expected flavors one would desire. I wouldn't really recommend for or against it but if it is available to you it is worth a try. I could probably buy it again at the brewery on tap during an event or get-together, but I wouldn't buy a four-pack or growler to take home with me.
