I believe this was called 1864, not 1865- at least it was labelled that way at the Brick Store Pub when I had it last summer- reviewing from notes. Interesting beer- a historical recreation of this mild from Whitbread, in collaboration with beer historian Ron Pattison. Served on cask at the BSP, lower carbonation and the classic mild flavors amped up (as they should be) from the time before milds became so low alcohol after two world wars. Earthy, with toffee notes, some mellow bitterness, and a dry finish. Very nice.
