Bought a 12 oz can at the brewery in Va Beach. the beer is listed in Beer Advocate as a one-off, but the can is decorated specifically for this beer unlike the "Exclusive Taproom Release" generic cans that some of their beers com in. New Realm calls the style an "India Pale Lager" and this may become a Beer Advocate style some day. It is crisp and light as a lager but there is a heavy duty floral hoppiness that comes across in both the aroma and taste. I noticed the Simcoe hops and there is another type of hops called "Strata" that I am unfamiliar with. A good looking beer as well with a clear dark gold color and a small frothy head with average retention and lots of filmy and slightly frothy lacing all over the glass. Mouthfeel is light and crisp like a lager but enough bitterness and floral aspects that would make an IPA proud!!!!! This is a well crafted beera and I enjoyed it very much.

This is an "India Pale Lager". Canned on 4/8/20. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours golden with great clarity and transparency with bubbles racing upwards; small white head that fades leaving solid retention and nice lacing. The aromas have some tropical fruits, especially some pineapple. Hints of citrus. Some fresh bread. Malts are there. The flavors follow the nose. More pineapple along with some grapefruit and lemon. Some fresh grass in the mix. Nice hop flavors. Moderate bitterness. Malts do their thing without dominating. Finishes juicy and dry at the same time. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.
This is a nice collaboration. Nice hop aromas and flavors. It drinks more like an IPA than a lager, but that happens with this style sometimes. It's enjoyable stuff at the end of the day. I like it.
