Appearance: Presented a very dark brown, near black body with a thinnish, yellowed-beige ring of bubbles.
Smell: Strong chocolate chip presence amidst a caressing, smooth dark, roasty-tinged maltiness. Sufficient, slight rum dark fruitiness and woodsy notes.
Taste: Opens with a sweet Caribbean rum element, housing a rounded dark fruitiness with a hint of roasted sultana and a nice, inviting spiciness united with the woody barrel hints. A little albeit sustained drip of chocolate liqueur. Dark, roasty maltiness. Not discerning any remaining chili pepper heat.
Mouthfeel: Full-bodied. Medium-light
Overall: Sweet and amiable.
