Hazy Like an Ox

I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a hazy orangish with thin white ring head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had ripe tropical citrus fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base with ripe tropical fruit medley presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

From the can, it pours a hazy amber color witha modest white head that sticks around for awhile. The nose gets a nice dose of citrus. The mouth gets citrus, a touch of bitterness and some light aftertaste.

 

 

 

Another good reason for an IPA: NE Imperial style!!!! Bought a 16 oz can at the Casual Pint in Va Beach VA. Poured into a pint glass, this beer features a hazy straw yellow color, medium size frothy white head and good retention and lacing. Aroma is citrus (orange) and pineapple - you can tell that this is going to be a nicely bitter beer!!! Taste includes orange, pineapple and plenty of bitterness, more than most NE IPA's. There is the familiar "dank" quality found in most NE IPA's Mouthfeel is rich and bitter but without any strong alcohol presence. This is a good, bitter Imperial IPA.
