I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a slightly hazy yellow with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had bright bitter unripe tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright semi sweet malt base with floral, hemp, and apricot presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Overall a very drinkable beer. Don’t be deceived, there isn’t much behind the curtain on this one. It’s overall feel and look leave the consumer underwhelmed. New Realm has made a name for it’s self over the past 10 years with it’s cult favorites such as “Hazy like a fox” and “hopstopia”. Still, Hazelab 2022 can’t compete with it’s IPA neighbors. Consider this beer on a hot day, during the dog days of summer. That’s when it’s best.

From the can, it pours a hazy light amber color with a lovely white head that slowly reduces and leaves lots of lacing. The nose gets a nice dose of citrus. The mouth gets the citrus, pineapple, and then a bit of malt and light bitterness.
