We put our own neo-twist on this Old World German lager, triple dry-hopping it with Amarillo and Styrian Dragon. This floral, citrusy and hoppy lager is bold and ready to be enjoyed.

A: Pours a very lightly hazy medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate honey + copper + bright yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy light beige head that slowly reduces to a handful of small patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very slightly mottled thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of bready + grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of citrus/grapefruit + floral + tropical/melon hops. Light aromas of lager yeast.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of bready + grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of lager yeast and minerality. Finally there are light to moderate flavors of citrus/grapefruit + floral + tropical/melon hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which lingers for a short amount of time and fades away leaving a relatively clean finish.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth, almost creamy with a light amount of dryness in the finish. Relatively clean finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a smooth clean mouthfeel. Enjoyable with a slightly different/modern hop profile for this style. I could easily have a couple of these.
