Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a medium hazed golden amber color with a one finger head of puffy white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading over time to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is heavy of a wheat bread smell mixed with big aromas of lime and a touch of seawater. Along with these smells comes notes of hay and a little bit of a caramel and orange sweetness. Overall, its rather inviting.
Taste – The taste begins with a wheat bread flavor that is backed by a whole lot of lime. At the same time there is some caramel and citrus sweetness as well as a touch of an herbal hop. As the taste advances the wheat takes on more grainy notes while the lime remains strong. A touch of hay and some saltiness comes at the very end, leaving one with a rather nice flavorful, but very approachable and rather enjoyable wheat-lime taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness with a carbonation level that is average. For the wheat style, mixed with the low abv. and lime flavors the feel is great and makes for a thick enough body to appreciate the nice flavors, all while keeping the brew quite approachable and very drinkable.
Overall – A rather nice low abv. beer with lots of wheat and lime flavor, all while being very drinkable and enjoyable. Quite a nice summer time session!!
