From a can. Pours a brilliant golden yellow with a finger of white foam. Smells of cracker and herbal/spicy hops. Flavor follows smell. Soft medium bodied mouthfeel.

Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and a thin layer of ivory foam atop. The head doesn’t stick around too long, though.
Smell: soft malt aroma with a fair bit of yeastiness. It’s quite welcoming.
Taste: lightly sweet with a nice soft malt flavor and an almost slightly spicy yeastiness (think peppercorns, not habaneros). I like it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: it’s perhaps a bit on the yeasty side for a Kölsch, but nevertheless I like it. Solid beer.

Poured from a can into a Stella glass.
Crisp and clean, this one is tasty. Nice aroma, with some citrus and maybe lemongrass. Dry yet malty.
Very appropriate per style. This one is worth seeking out.

12 fl oz pull-tab can nabbed in 4-pack format at A's Wine & Spirits, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
4.8% ABV. 23 IBU. 3 SRM. "West German style ale." "Kolsch style ale."
It's fine, but it's not crisp or clean enough and I doubt they used Kolsch yeast.

Pours a pale straw color with some carbonation and a faint but rapidly fleeing head. Nose is wheat and black pepper. Taste is malt forward with spices on the back end. Medium body and medium carbonation with a slight oxidized aftertaste.
Drinkable enough with flaws that I can't ignore. The aftertaste is a bummer, but the approach is classical.

Appearance:
Poured from 19 oz Stovepipe can into a Kölsch "Stange" (pole) glass. Two-Finger head that falls to 1/4 inch layer that lasts. Light Gold/Medium yellow and with nearly no haze. I have had this at the brewery in the past and it was hazy.
Aroma:
Sweet, biscuity malt that has almost a honey-like aroma and very faint noble hops. This one favors the grains.
Flavor:
A sweet, vinous hit upfront that is quickly kicked down with an balancing charge of grassy hop flavor and bitterness. Moderate bittersweet finish.
Mouthfeel:
Light- Medium with a slight amount of burn and astringency.
Overall:
A decent tasting beer that generally fits a Kölsch style. Has some minor appearance and mouthfeel issues.

Pours golden and slightly hazy with a white head with slight retention. Smell is sweet and grassy with a little citrus. I’m getting all the flavors described on the can: biscuit, pear, and lemongrass. Slight hops bitterness with a dry finish.
Overall very refreshing. There are a lot of flavors going on but it’s still light. A great beer for a hot day!

Always love me a kolsch, and always seek them out as a test of a new breweries lager chops. Had this one during my first visit to Cabin Boys.
Pale yellow and slightly hazy with some fizz.
Aroma of lemon and grain. Somewhat vegetal going down.
Taste is all over the place with too much yeast and grain. There's no focus. Light fruits try to peak out and are over-shadowed by vegetal notes.
I'm going to give these guys another try at somepoint, but was not overly happy with this one.

On tap at the brewery. Comes a somewhat hazy gold with a decent white head. Aroma of malt, yeast, and citrus. Taste is citrus, yeast, malt, and grass. Easy to drink.
