Can to English pint glass.
The appearance was a beautiful dark brown close to black color with a tan foamy head sliding off delicately. Not much lace, just kinda messy.
The aroma had a wonderful blend of roasty dark chocolate and nuts strolling into some milk chocolate, caramel, light vanilla bean and ending with a subtle dark toasty to earthy dry sweetness. Mild aftertaste of roasty dark chocolate and sweet coffee notes with a dry semi-sweet biscuity character.
The flavor had a dry sweet roasty to toasted nutty milk chocolate taste to it. Some sweet dryness rolling into a mellow aftertaste of sticky chocolate malts and roasted nuts.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied, seemed to sit just a touch under with a fair sipping quality about it. Nice composure of the carbonation sitting just enough. Finishes semi-sticky through the chocolate malts.
Overall, nicely done stout! American with a subtle twist of maybe being a possible milk/sweet stout.

Can from The Tuckaway Takeaway. Inky black with a huge frothy mocha head that shows moderate retention. Big roasty nose with bits of earthy chocolate to counter. Smooth roasty sweet caramel and chocolate flavor with just a hint of earth and dark fruits. Creamy smooth mouthfeel full body. Pretty damn tasty stout.

Poured into a16 oz Breakaway glass canned on 11/28/18 and 5.1% ABV. Pours a near pitch black with a 4 finger mocha head that leaves thin wisps of lace behind with excellent retention. 4.75
Smell is cocoa nibs, coffee grounds, vanilla bean, and just a little biscuity grain that plays very well with everything going on. 4.5
Taste follows biscuit grain, cocoa, vanilla, and just a little kiss of coffee, really tasty! 4.75
Mouthfeel is a creamy medium, soft gentle carbonation, not dry at all, and goes down very easy, but the flavor is more like 6.5 or 7. 4.75
Overall this is an absolute gem, 5.1% with a ton of flavor and a nice creamy feel. This is a stout I could drink all day during a cold winter night. Exceptional and I am giving it more props because of the reasonable ABV and all the flavor. 4.5
