(Notes of 24/04/2007) Tasted by a half-pint at the Capitol, a JDW pub at Forest Hill, SE London.
A: dark orangey amber in colour, lightly murky, with a tight, off-white frothy head.
S: assertive and fresh malty aroma plus Golding's fresh fruitiness... Not complex, but refreshing and balanced overall.
T: honey-ish and rich juicy biscuity malts lead towards a long stream of soothing, hayish bitter aftertaste... a tad dry and grassy (in aroma) in the end, too.
M&D: creamy and smoothly-textured, light-bodied, balanced profile with assertive malt input. All in all, this is a good-quality bitter designed to quaff!
