12/15/20...deep black colored with creamy head of tan foam. Rich roasted coffee nose. Creamy mouthfeel, and so smooth. Roasted flavors, slight bitter. Coffees and chocolates. Relatively thin. Milky. Quite nice. Excellently styled porter.

I had this on draught at the brewery. Pint pour. It pours a rich mahogany with dark cola hues when held to the light, and a thin milk white head and lacing. The head did not last long but the lacing persisted through the pour. The smell is subdued: mostly malt and a hint of cocoa. The taste features roasted malt, char, tobacco, nuts, and subtle chocolate. There's very little sweetness from the chocolate. The mouth feel is rather thin for a porter with moderate carbonation, and with an ABV of only 5.1% it couldn't be easier to drink. Overall, this isn't a bad porter but it could be improved with more taste of chocolate and a creamier, more viscous, mouth feel. This is a solid base from which Fort Nonsense can build.
