Black in colour in the glass, with no translucence. Beige foam, high and persistent. Slowly reduces to a layer of half a centimetre. Leaves a few frothy drips on the glass.
In the aroma, roasted malts, unmistakably associated with strong coffee, followed by bitter chocolate and spice notes reminiscent of those from Belgian chocolate, dark fruits and some liquorice. Light ash accents in the background.
Taste slightly bitter, ashy. Rather expressionless, "shallow".
Medium saturation downwards. Round texture. Low body, seems watery at times. Aftertaste long roasted, bitter.
