Appearance: Very dark, beautiful beer.
Smell is a little light. I pick up a little malt and a slight Smokey adjunct along with chocolate.
Flavor - I don’t love the “smoked” aspect, but that reflects my taste more than the beer itself. If you like smoked beers, this could be great for you. For me, it’s a distraction from the typical stout flavors. I pick up the bitter dark chocolate, which is nice. Certainly more of a dry Irish style stout than a sweet milk stout.
Feel is good. Maybe a little thin.
Overall, it’s fine. It’s probably a great one for you if a smoked Irish stout sounds like your cup of tea.

On tap at Wussow's coffee shop in Duluth, MN.
7.7%ABV Fantastic! More like a deep porter. Pours black with a dark tan 1.5" head, low carbo, okay retention, some sticky lacing. It has a medium bodied mouthfeel and is close to Murphy's Irish Stout in toastiness and has similar smoke flavors that remind me of a Schlenkerla Rauchbier. Not too much char. Just roasted toasted smoky chocolate goodness. Incredibly easy drinking and very tasty. One of the best American stouts I've ever had.

Pours pitch black. 3 finger brown head. Quite foamy, and the retention is pretty good. Some lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
The nose has a nice smoked undertone. Chocolate is the main star of the show. Slightly sweet, but not too sweet.
Taste - The chocolate is up front. Somewhat of a sweet chocolate. The smoke kicks in hard on the backside, and it mixes up with the chocolate. The flavors work well together.
The body is a bit lighter than I was expecting. Decent, otherwise.
Tasty beer, and the flavors really work together.

L: deep dark brown with bright brown highlights under a 2" medium tan cap with good retention.
S: chocolate and smoke with some dark dried fruit. The smoke blows off as the glass sits and more chocolate comes forward.
T: Dark bitter chocolate leads to a dry, mildly astringent finish. The smoke provides an accent but shows up pleasantly in the aftertaste.
F: Creamy, full body, medium low soft carbonation.
O: This is a big full flavored pleasant drinking beer but it is hard to drink more than one at a time.
